One edition, one store, one price: $19.99 on Steam, currently showing $16.99 while the 15 percent launch discount runs. This page covers what the price includes, how it got here, and the short answer on key resellers that people keep searching for.

The current price and the launch discount

The Steam store lists Emberward at $19.99 in the US region, with a 15 percent launch discount bringing the checkout price to $16.99 as of September 20, 2026. The developer set the discount up in advance on purpose: a July 2026 announcement explained that Steam's one-month price-change cooldown forced the full price to go live early so a launch discount could still exist on release day. The discount's end date is not published anywhere official; the store page is the live source for when it flips back.

Buying gets you the full game: the five-region campaign, all modes, 100 achievements, Steam Trading Cards and cloud saves. There is no season pass, no battle pass and no in-game purchases.

The price history: $14.99 to $19.99

Regions with regional pricing were adjusted at the same time. The release timeline has the dates; the point for a buyer today is simple: the game you buy now is the finished 1.0, and it launched at the same nominal price the developer flagged two months early.

Where to buy (and where not to)

Steam is the only official store: store.steampowered.com/app/2459550. There is no Epic, GOG or Microsoft Store version (see platforms), no physical retail edition, and no bundle.

That makes the "cd key" question short. Key-reseller marketplaces do carry Steam keys for indie games, but this game has one storefront and no official reseller program to check a key's origin against; the demo lets you try before you buy for free instead (demo page). If a price looks too far below $16.99, treat it as a red flag rather than a bargain. Family Sharing is supported, so a friend who owns it can let you play through your own Steam account.

Is there a physical edition or a supporter pack?

No and no. Emberward is digital-only, and the developer directly addressed the supporter-pack idea in the 1.0 launch post: players suggested one, but with no soundtrack or art book to include and a lone "Golden Sniper Tower skin" feeling wrong, the decision was to make none and simply ask fans to recommend the game instead. That is the whole monetization stance: one price, one edition. What the money buys is documented across the towers, regions and modes pages.

FAQ

How much does Emberward cost?

$19.99 on Steam, or $16.99 while the 15 percent launch discount runs (checked September 20, 2026). Regions with local pricing adjust accordingly.

Is there a cheaper edition or any DLC?

No. There is a single edition and no DLC of any kind. The free demo is the only zero-cost way to play.

Are CD key sites safe for Emberward?

We do not recommend them. Steam is the only official seller, there is no authorized reseller list to verify against, and the free demo makes the try-before-buy question moot.

Does Emberward go on sale often?

It is new territory: the game discount-launched in September 2026 after extending a summer-sale discount in July. Steam sales are a safe long-run bet for an indie like this, but nothing is scheduled that we could find.

Can I share the game with family?

Yes, Steam Family Sharing is supported per the store's feature list.
