About This Wiki
What this site is, how we label facts we cannot confirm, how we handle your data, and the rules of use, all on one page.
Who we are
Emberward Wiki is an independent, fan-made wiki covering Emberward, the roguelite tower defense game developed and published by solo developer Refic Games (RefiCHL). We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Refic Games.
What we do
We collect information from official sources (the Steam store page and its APIs, the developer's Steam announcements, the official press kit and the Refic Games YouTube channel), and from community discussion and press reviews, then rewrite and organize it into plain-English pages. Every page carries a fact-check date, a status badge and a sources list.
A note on versions
Emberward changed a lot between its November 2023 demo, June 2024 Early Access launch and the September 2026 1.0 release. Where a detail comes from an Early Access-era source (a 2024 press review, an old community guide), the page says so explicitly. Tower counts, region counts and prices are historical facts in context, never silently carried into the present.
Corrections
Spotted something wrong? Tracking pages (price, platforms, the roadmap, review scores) are re-checked regularly. Corrections are applied with a new fact-check date.
Three labels, used literally
Every fact on this site carries one of three labels. This is not decoration, it is the whole editorial method.
- Official sources: published by Refic Games on Steam, in the official press kit, or on the developer's own channel. Safe to rely on.
- Partially confirmed: confirmed in part, or reported by press and community but not on an official page. We state exactly what is known and flag the gap.
- Pending confirmation: the developer has not announced it. We say so plainly and explain what would change the answer.
What we refuse to do
- We do not invent tower, character, relic or flame lists. Where the community has counted 55 towers or 10 characters and the developer has not published a full roster, the number carries a community-count label, not an official one.
- We do not repeat superseded facts. The Basic Tower was retired in 1.0, the price rose from $14.99 to $19.99, and the store's "Free To Play" genre tag does not make the game free. Old state is history, clearly dated, never presented as current.
- We do not blur the platform line: Emberward runs on Windows PC today, console ports are officially in progress with no platforms named, and no mobile version has ever been announced.
- We do not present community strategy as fact. Tier opinions, endless-mode routes and relic ratings come from players, carry an explicit community label, and mechanics claims are cross-checked against official patch notes before they are treated as real.
- We do not host, link or provide cheat tools, trainers or pirated copies, ever.
How to read a caveat box
Pages where a claim is genuinely uncertain carry a Read this first box immediately below the summary. That box is the fastest way to know which parts of the page are solid and which are waiting on the developer.
